I''ve been lurking around here for a while, reading and learning and researching as much as I can. I think I''ve got a pretty decent handle on things now (considering I''ve never bought a diamond before), but more advice and recommendations are always good.
I''m looking for a diamond for an engagement ring. My budget is around $4000, but I could go up some for the right diamond. From all of my research/learning, I know the cut is extremely important in how the diamond looks. As such, that''s the most important of the 4C''s to me right now. I think I''d like a color of H or better, though I (and maybe even J) could be considered, and as long as it''s eye-clean, I don''t have a problem with the clarity. From my searching, it looks like I can get something in the 0.8x carat range, based on my budget. If I could find something in the 0.9x or even 1.0 range, that''d be great, but I don''t want to sacrifice the cut quality to get there.
Here are a few that I''ve found that look pretty good. Any thoughts/preferences on these would be appreciated, or any other options out there. Thanks.

Among those 4, I came upon the first one, also.

The last is not in house

The second is interesting...maybe conpare against the first.

For the third, maybe you don''t need VS1.

I think the one from whiteflash sounds great and it''s .91
