New little bauble excitement!

I just picked up my newest sparkly, made by my favorite local jeweler and I just had to share. I’m so in love with it! It’s a 21.6ct water clear blue sheen moonstone in a 14k bezel (I do love his bezel work!). It has two small feather inclusions near the bottom and is amazingly blue from every angle. For some reason the photos make the sheen look opaque but it is electric crystal blue! I couldn’t even wait to get hope to take pictures...the sun was going down and I didn’t want to loose the light. So here are a few snaps. I even forgot to take it off the little backing my jeweler put it on, lol.

Thank you MTG! I have a huge soft spot for moonstone and am slowly trying to add more to my jewel box. I agree they can be very mystical and magical...like the endless worlds in a drop of water...and to me, quite meditative.

Thank you @Burmesedaze. Most of my jewelry is large and sparkly and is regularly dismissed by my hubby as “too gaudy”. This was the first time he said he really liked a new piece of jewelry. I think I just figured out he’s a jewelry minimalist. Not exactly what comes to mind when I think of PSers (myself included), lol

DITTO! to MTG, I love Moonstone! understated yet packs a punch with the mesmerizing iridescent colors, it reminds me of perhaps out of space looking down to earth (I know strange way of evoking that feeling for me)

I keep turning my rear view mirror my direction because I can’t see the GLOW with it hanging around my own neck! Lol I have a longer Victorian belcher coming that I hope will work with it, that will let me see it too.

Gems and Crystals Unlimited is the jeweler. The owner is Chuck Henley and his son, Aaron, works with him. The sum total of their internet presence is gemsandcrystalsunlimited.com. Chuck has been in the business for decades. They work out of a private workshop and do custom work. They have a booth at Tucson every year and travel around to gem shows, no storefront. They may be on Yelp. Chuck and Aaron are making my star sapphire ring currently.

Be careful, I could be wrong, but it looks simulated. There is a lot of simulated moonstone out there, much of it looks like milky glass with blue iridescence, and it’s often huge and cut like this.
