Stumbled upon this gorgeous antique setting while browsing JBEG one day. Wasn't looking for anything specific. Had been thinking about a reset because my setting was platinum and I just couldn't adjust to the weight. It was an antique also and very substantial. Saw this and just knew it was THE ONE. It looks like an amazing, sparkly flower.

Center stats: 1.6ct, 7.6mm, VS2, L w/ strong blue fluorescence and top light brown - re-cut by BGD

Size 7.75

Playing while waiting for my son to finish soccer practice. ;) I'm sure the other parents were whispering about me.

It is really beautiful, love the flowery look.

It looks lovely with such a flattering shape

Thank you! :) :) :) I am loving it! It is amazing how much new life this setting has given my diamond. The way the stone sits in the flower, lots of light gets in all around the stone and it just glows. I never realized how much of a difference it would make. It has 8 delicate prongs which I am loving as well. I love the flower shape and it gives my diamond a lot of oomph size-wise.
It's a unique flower halo. :)

I'd love to see a profile view if you get a chance?

Here you go, CrisM! :) Profile and close up of prongs.

Very beautiful. I love unique settings like this one. Say more about the stone - it almost appears rose or lavender tinted.

Thanks! I seriously can not stop staring at it! The stone is such a little chameleon! She has many personalities and I just never get tired of looking at her because she always looks different. I think the unique combination of L color, strong blue fluorescence, and top light brown makes for a very unique personality. She truly takes on the colors of her environment. I think the lavender you are seeing is a reflection of my bright purple iPhone case. :) The colors that come out of this stone are amazing. I actually bought her for her bargain price and had BGD due a miraculous re-cut. If I ever buy another diamond, I will absolutely look for similar specs. My very white, no fluor., diamonds do not entertain, interest or mesmerize me like this one does. I get more comments about her than any other stone I have ever had. She loves to be the center of attention! :) This setting just really let's her shine! The top light brown has so much less L color than the more typical yellow tones. I do not see yellow. Just an ever-changing rainbow of colors!

If you look at the 2nd pic, you really see purple and lime green. My iPhone case is bright purple with bright lime green accents. :)

Yay, I've been waiting for you to post pics! I'm so jealous, that's a very unique setting!

Holy snikeys! That's gorgeous

I love the flowery look and how you can see so much of the diamond! Congrats! :appl:
