Hi all,

I have been reading reading reading, researching, visiting jewelers, etc. and wondered if I might get some opinions on this diamond for an engagement ring. I do have access to AGS report, Sarin, Idealscope, etc. if needed.

Thanks for your input,

BTW, this is a round hearts and arrows.

You just can''t go wrong with ACAs, so it''ll be stunning! But I do love swingirl''s idea of going a little bigger for around the same budget!

Great stone! I''d probably go with the 1.2 G VS2 swingirl posted instead, but I see someone has it reserved. Is it you? Be sure you ask for the pricescope/wire discount because it''ll take off about 5% of the price.

It''s a great stone, but personally I would scale back in clarity to the SI1 range to save a ton of money without any visible difference.

All the ACAs from WF are gorgeous. I''ve seen a G in person and it is plenty white. That would make a beautiful ering.

You might consider these too if you want a little larger in size.

Swingirl has posted some great options if you are willing to go lower than VS1. These stones are still ACA''s, they will still face up white, but they give you a better spread size-wise.

But if having a loupe-clean and mind-clean stone is very important to you, and you don''t mind sacrificing a little size, then the VS1 should put your mind at ease.

Good luck!

ditto! use the $ to get a larger stone. GL!

It''s personal choice but I will concur that G VS2 is worth considering!

Thanks so much for your feedback everyone. I did go ahead with the order, knowing I had 10 days free look. Here is the AGS report, I figured vs1 would definitely be eye clean, but looking at this report, there is a feather right in the middle of it

This is not as much fun as I thought it would be.....

You can always ask them, FYI... WF is great to work with in that way, they''ll tell you whether or not a stone is eye-clean.

OP, I just wanted to say that I feel for you in terms of the diamond search. It's a fun but somewhat stressful experience. I'm actually the one who reserved the 1.2 G VS2, but I also wanted to let you know that I didn't reserve it on a whim when it was suggested by another member. I've been eyeing that stone for a few weeks now after months of research. I was also eyeing a similar one simultaneously that got snatched up before I could act on it/make up my mind.

Heres the other stone --> 1.226 G VS2

Sorry that we had to be looking for similar stones at the same time. Good luck OP and I'm sure you'll find something fantastic with that budget.
