New Homeowner!

Hello, everyone!

I''ve lurked here on and off since early this year when I became single again, but I wanted to tell my good news. As part of my "transformation" this year, I am getting ready to close on a condo! I spent some time looking for a new lease over Spring Break from school back in April, and stumbled on an amazing deal on a nice 2 bedroom condo. It''s the perfect place for me and my Mad Cow kitty to start fresh together.

I got to customize a bit with the colors and types of cabinets, tile, and berber being put in for me, too. I''ll have pictures soon when I do my final walk-through. Just so happy and excited I had to share!

A community is only as good as its members make it, and you PSers are the BEST! It''s been one wild year so far, but I can always count on you guys for support.

There''s only a few more days of school left and "IS IT JUNE 7TH YET?" echoes through my classroom constantly, usually uttered by me.

I can''t wait to say goodbye to the kids and get cracking on the packing. I am so pumped to get into my new place. PS housewarming picture party soon to come! It''ll be a fun summer, since I will be starting my masters, tutoring at a Sylvan center, and moving to a new place with a POOL.

My mom''s cancer treatments have proven to be very effective in getting her well on the road to a full recovery. She is doing great, as far as her radiologist is concerned, and she has one more visit to the doctor''s tomorrow for a few tests to check on healing and hopefully get a baseline for what the new "normal" is for her. I couldn''t be happier about how well she is doing. She''ll still need to get her port removed, but she''ll be off all summer to continue working on getting her blood counts back to normal. She''s excited about helping me move in and working with her horse during this time.

congratulations Equestrienne!!! How exciting! Be sure and have a housewarming party--people love to bring fun things like plants and other useful stuff! You can just call it a get-together (we had ours in honor of the annual 4th of July fireworks right across from our home in the park) and people will bring gifts anyway, hee hee

That''s wonderful news about your mom as well - its so hard having a loved one be sick, but it sounds like she is doing as well as could possibly be expected, which must be such a relief for both you and her. I''ll send good wishes her way for a continued recovery

I am having trouble uploading more than one at a time, so let''s start with the kitchen. This is the galley kitchen in the new place. I got to pick the black appliances and I chose the colors of the cabinets, the tile used in the floor/countertops/backsplash, and the paint on the walls.
