New here, what do you think of this diamond on limited info?

New here; unfortunately, my wedding ring has gone missing (or was stolen by housecleaners, who knows?). AFter 10 yrs of marriage, I''m getting a new stone. One of my best friend''s father is a jeweler. Going to see this on Sat. Here''s what limited info I have on it:

AGS 000 1.29 CT H color, SI1 clarity; $6550 plus tax

I''m having a VERY hard time finding similar stones on the net with which to compare it. What do you think based on this info? TIA for any help--I did read the FAQ''s and such before posting here.

How about this one? I found it using the search bar at the top of the page. There are others in that neighborhood and I chose this one more or less at randomn.

Overall, the one you found seems pretty reasonable. Have you seen it? Do you love it?

Thanks to all for your advice. After educating myself on this subject, I went to the jewelers. Although I thought I had decided on a round brilliant, he showed me an emerald. I just fell in love! I NEVER thought I would like this shape. Now, I guess the search is on for an emerald cut diamond. So, for all my "education", it came down to a very emotional reaction to the stone. By the way, he is holding the emerald for me for a week. Here''s the specs, let me know what you think:

1.52 CT, F color, SI1 clarity, pol VG, symm G, 7.81X5.58X3.75mm; price=$8790 plus tax
