New Garnet Ring!

I got it three weeks ago but I have been waiting to post hoping I could get better pictures... alas, no luck! So, I will post the stone separatley so you can see the perfect-looking RB cut on it and the actual shade of light pink.

GARNET: Pink colour-change to green (Madagascar) 0.95ct Round Brilliant cut by Jeff Graham at www.faceters.com. He''s great! Has some flaws so I chose to set it with...

SETTING: 14k white gold half-bezel setting from McGivern Diamonds www.overnightdiamonds.com - assisted by Michael McGivern himself (very hands-on) - also a great guy - great prices, and great service. I sent him the stone and his jeweler set for a very reasonable fee - did a great job - and it was on my finger in less than a week. Very happy and I recommend MD!

The half-bezel does not show off the colour as much as I would like but it clearly look light pink. What it does, quite unepectedly, is show off the cut in a very cool way! I'll try to post a better pic. of that but I am having trouble posting...

Question: Did you find the stone on the facters.com web site? I''ve been trying for months to find an "available" stone on the site and all are SOLD already. Jeff emailed me to say that he is busy cutting ... and his stones are spoken for. I don''t mean to sound harsh, but he didn''t seem too interested in setting any expectations that he''d like to cut/sell me a greeen tourmaline ... which is what I wany.
