Ummm, just sayin', I do NOT hate that.
I vote for the turquoise, since that was your first inclination. It will be gorgeous.
That’s what I thought was done originally, I have I owned 2 pearls and both had a post where the pearl would be set with a bit of glue, not enough glue to make a basket of glue holding it on to the setting though. Lol
I do have a moonstone, it’s slightly too big at 10mm. But I’m sure it wouldn’t be a huge issue to have it recut to fit. I might see what our local lapidary artist have near by (they cab more inexpensive material)
I have always yearned for a turquoise ruby ring, even more so if it has diamonds.
I stumbled upon one long ago on Lang’s.
Im a sucker for cabochon gems and this pulled my hearts strings with first glance.
While it won’t compare to the original design of the inspo pic, I will settle for something of the sort.
Of course if something else grabs my attention to set in this I will consider it, I foresee it being something bright and cheery.
These are the inspiration pictures for the time being.![]()
Once I saw that you took out the pearl, the first thing I thought of was turquoise!! I wouldn't mess with the setting as it truly is a beautiful piece of art! Have you thought about making it into a pendant? That would be stunning!!
