Generally speaking, do you think vendors are willing to negotiate for diamonds? If so, what type of percentage do you think you should shoot for to get cut off the price?

This is just generally speaking. In my searching for diamonds, I''m wondering if the price tag is the end all price, or if I should try and get them to budge.

I think that would depend on who you buy from. I believe internet prices are already very competetive so you'd be hard pressed to get anything off the listed price but it shouldn't hurt to ask. Just do so politely but don't expect to be able to bargain. I know you asked a general question and would like a general answer like...5% off the list price but it just doesn't apply here.

From what I have seen and heard, there is a little bit of wiggle room on internet pricing (Everyone has to make some sort of living). B&M stores have a lot more, you can always use internet pricing as a going starting price to negotiate with store owners.

I wouldn't expect too much leeway from internet dealers as their margin is already small, and from my experience B&M stores are not prone to deal too much.

Good luch either way, and let us know how you fare..
