Hi,
This is my first time buying a large(ish) rock and would really appreciate some feedback before i head to the bank on Monday and wire funds. I have this diamond on hold currently,

I looked at a few in stores and didnt mind the I-color.

Any advise / feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi sbouslog and welcome!

That looks like a lovely Asscher, do you have an ASET image for it? ASET images are incredibly useful with fancy shapes such as these as they can assist in evaluating the light return, which you want as sparkle. The patterning looks good, I would ask one of JA's gemologists just to make sure the centre patterning which is dark in the camera lights up when worn in normal viewing conditions. If this stone checks out that would be great. Shouldn't be any worries concerning eye cleanliness with VVS1 and if you don't mind a slight touch of warmth, that's fine. Step cuts can show a bit more warmth compared to a round brilliant for example, did you compare colour grades from GIA in similar size step cuts?
