So I am looking to propose to my GF in the next few months and am needing some major HELP from the experts in picking out THE ring of her lifetime.

Since I am still in training, I am looking to spend around 15K total for the ring and in the 1.8 carat weight. Now I know the cut is the most important, but is an excellent cut on sites like b2c, solomon bros, union comparable to whiteflash ACA, GOG? I lean towards NO just because the diamonds are a couple of thousands less than the others even when they have the same GIA grading.

Here is one I found from the PS affiliates:

Thanks!!!

WOW I would pounce on that one!! Please get it, you won't be disappointed or questioning anything about that one, that looks like an incredible price! I haven't bought from JBG but I hear rave things and I would love to someday! Very very reputable for sure... You should get an Si1 anyway, you can get so much more for your $$ that way, and you won't be seeing any inclusions in this one anyway so why pay more for VS! (my biggest regret with my first diamond purchase was that I bought a VS2 and I could have gotten more for my $$ with an eye clean Si1 instead, but I didn't know about pricescope back then unfortunately!)

But that diamond listed on JBG is stunning, I would definitely grab that before someone else does, esp. now that it's been posted here, put it on hold or something, good luck!! Please get that one, and thank that poster for finding THE ONE :) It is so much better and you still have $$ leftover for the setting to stay closer to your budget!! Seriously don't pass on that one! This is your lucky day I think! Good luck :)

Within the GIA Excellent range, there will be some great stones, some very good stones, and others that we would not recommend. I cannot recommend any vendor who does not supply pictures and an idealscope image of the diamond.

If your desire is to have a top quality hearts and arrows diamond, then I would recommend sticking with the vendors you mentioned as they show the images to prove that their top diamonds are indeed true hearts and arrows, the highest cut quality. You are unlikely to find many stones that have those cut standards in virtual list stones such as the one you linked.

I don't see any at GOG right now with the specs you are wanting, but they can easily call in some diamonds for you. WhiteFlash has several I SI1 stones in the 1.7-1.8 ct range. Their ACA's are H&A, and their Expert collection are worth looking at as they are generally all ideal cut. Not sure what kind of setting you are interested in, but it is necessary to know that if the setting is included in the $15k. There is a small additional PriceScope discount to these prices.
