Good day to you all!!

Firstly let me say Pricescope is absolutely Priceless for people searching for diamonds! In the last 2 weeks i have absorbed (well at least attempted) so much information about diamonds it is unreal. The amount of late nights I have had searching and reading the forum is actually becoming dangerous to my health.

I want to get a beautiful Princess for my beautiful princess! I have been looking around and have found the following options. I would much appreciate your opinions on which jewell you believe is the superior. My dilema is one with the usual suspects: AGS, GIA, Cut, Colour, size and a my poor little old wallet. I need the ring for about 3 weeks time and I live in the UK so I need to make a decision QUICKLY!! (very scary!). At 1st I didn''t want to go beyond a budget of $3000 but the most expensive stone here is about $3400.

WF said they said they can provide a Sarin, Idealscope and ASET of the GIAs if I order them.

So tell me what you think Pricescopers!! I''m looking forward to the responses.

Isaiah.

Hi Isaiah and welcome!

Do you have the links or images for the diamonds please? That would really help. The WF branded ACA and GOG diamonds should have the info on the links. Out of the GIA Princess, I would be most interested in the first.

Here''s the GOG stone.

This looks like a very nice stone, and it''s got a table leaning towards the smaller side which should translate to nice fire! In a very well cut stone, the color will be masked some. You could ask Jon about it to be sure, but I bet it would be fine.

And here''s the WF stone. A nice one also.

If it were me, out of these two I''d go for the GOG stone, it looks great and it''s noticeably bigger. The first WF stone is just slightly bigger than the GOG, but I don''t know that it would be worth calling in, it wouldn''t for me personally. You''re looking at diameters of (GOG) 5.15 vs. (first WF) 5.26. But, it''s your call!

I''m not nearly the expert that Ellen is, but both of these look wonderful to me!

Fankies for the links Miss!!

They both look great!

Just wanted to chime in to say that there is so much to be said for AGS0 princess cuts -- the GOG one looks wonderful. A friend recently got an AGS0 I color diamond, and it''s spectacular. I didn''t look at it extremely closely, but from a pretty close distance, I only noticed sparkle. My personal taste usually leans towards the "whiter" stones, and I can say I think the "I" color presented no problems at all in such a well-cut diamond. Having seen that I, AGS0 princess cut, I would say that I would only go with AGS0 or perhaps Infinity cut princesses if I were looking for a Princess cut.

As the owner of a beautiful AGS0 I colored princess, I say you have nothing to worry about, unless you''re extremely color-sensitive. The beautiful brilliance of the cut masks the body color nicely. This video might be helpful for you.

That''s a beautiful setting, and I don''t know of anything quite like it. You could certainly buy the GOG stone and have them ship it to WF to be set. PS vendors are willing to do that kind of thing all the time.
