Hello all, I am new to the forum so be gentle. Lol. My soon-to-be fiancé just purchased a beautiful 3.52 carat asscher for me, and my indecision is holding up the process. I have several settings I like but am open to any suggestions you ladies (and gentlemen!) have. I don't care for a halo but otherwise I'm pretty open. I don't mind a halo along the bottom edge of the girdle though, as you will see in my photos.

I originally wanted the 3 stone with the tapered baguettes, but I really want a wedding band that sits flush with my engagement ring so that sort of limits me. Any great ideas for a wedding band to go with that design are appreciated too!

Thanks in advance!

Welcome, and congratulations on receiving what sounds like a beautiful diamond! I'm a step-cut girl myself, also in search of the perfect setting :) Do you know the specs on your diamond (color, clarity, dimensions, etc.) and any photos to share for now?

For your setting, I have to say that my jaw dropped at your first photo. WOW! Take a look at this thread though... it might provide some inspiration as well as clarification of what you really like!

Caysie van Bebber is making me a setting (reset) for my 1.52 asscher. I have a post on "show me the bling" board that describes what I am getting... kinda sounds like what you said... except mine is going to be pave split shank.

I like shiny, that is the kind of peek a boo halo I am taking about.

Something like this one from Steven Kirsch would be lovely. Similar to the first two you have posted but not so much pave. That much pave would
scare me! I'm not big on the baguette one. I used to have my pear in a 3 stone baguette and trying to find a wedding band to go with it (besides
the matching one) was a real pain in the arse! I finally reset it.

Edit
Check out Victor Canera also...

You can also check out leon Mege...he can be a pain to work with though but you might get an idea
or two from his site.

I love the three stone with baguettes but it is a pain to find a matching band. And I don't know if you want diamonds in the donut. You won't want anything to hit those stones...

Hard one. I would probably do a halo on an asscher, or some derivation of a plain solitaire setting.

I adore the asscher with baguette sides and it absolutely can be made to allow a band to sit close.

The other setting that I love for an asscher would be like the one with side french cuts made for brighticeCVBbrightice.jpg CVBphyllis2.jpg by CVB Inspired Design:

For a stone of this size (3+ ct.), a tapered shank or split shank could also be quite nice.
I see you have plenty of "ringspiration" from the PS experts.

Whatever you decide on - please bring the pictures for us once you have completed the process!
