Hey Guys,
I just purchased a ring yesterday for my soon to be fiance and I would like to have some reassurance as to how well of a job I did.
Yesterday I purchased a 2.15 Radiant Cut (Rectangular: 6.22 x 7.01 x 4.29), H-color, VS1 diamond. Here are some of the specifics:
Depth: 61.2%
Table: 67%
Girdle: Thin to Medium
Cutlet: None
Polish: Good
Symmetry: Very Good
Length to Width: 1.18
Traditional Depth: 61.2%
Visible Surface Area: 54.8
Adjusted Depth: 56.5%
Ajusted Crown Height 10.0%
Adjusted Pavilion Depth: 45.2%
The final sales price was: $16,955.
Was this a fair price? Also I would like to know more about H color. I compared the diamond to a 2.01 G VS1 and the jeweler wanted $19,500. To be honest I could not see much of a difference, if any comparing the color. So I went with the H and saved some $$$. Was this smart? Is there much of a color difference between a G and H? Please let me know what you all think? I could not sleep last night. I was thinking I may have been ripped off. But I tend to be a nervous person.
Thanks.
Mark
