Need opinions on reset halo ring

I'm having my current halo ring reset bc the original setting was done poorly. It took some time convincing my husband but I think he finally understands why I want to reset it. I just got back to potential redesigns but I'm not 100% In love. Of the two photos I prefer the round halo with the RB center stone but wonder if it's too bulky and if the matching band almost matches too much. Would love to hear your opinions bc there's something I just don't like but can't put my finger on it. I should have more images/drawing later today.





Would love to hear opinions since this while process is very overwhelming and it's so important to make the right decision this time around.

My honest opinion is that I like Your old setting most... . Don't You like it because of poor craftmanship or is there any other reason to change? Your current ring is

My main issue with my old setting is the halo and the way the stones are set. They don't look uniform to me. Also from the side the ring is clearly not straight. The new setting just feels generic and a little bulky. I've posted more pics of my old ring so u can see what I'm talking about. The halo has always bothered me even though I love halo rings. I'm trying to keep my center stone and only replace the setting for a decent price.

Is like to stay within the 3-5k range for the reset. Do you mind me asking what you don't like about the rings. There's something I don't care for and I can't figure out exactly what it is.

I think in the first option the cushion shape looks unproportional to rest of the ring, and option 2 just looks generic like every other mall halo I've seen. If I'm going to spend the money to reset, I'd want it to WOW. But I'd need better pics of either to weigh in on quality of melee, workmanship, etc.

I'd definitely start looking at other vendors, you have a GREAT budget to reset - you could get a fabulous cast piece (lower end) or handforged halo (high end).

Thanks for your input and I completely agree it looks generic like something I could get in a mall. The place I went is rather expensive as well. Do you have any recommendations on good vendors?

My only issue is I have a credit at this store bc my husband bought me something there that I didn't like. I've been trying to make it work but I really don't love the place. I'm almost thinking I could have
my e-ring reset somewhere else and use the credit for a wedding band. So many decisions and I don't want to make the wrong choice.
