Can you put it on hold and give us a link? We need to be able to see it "move" in the video to see how its lighting up.

I like the facet patterning but it looks to be completely see-through once it gets past about 50degrees of tilt on the video??

Is that a bad thing?
The main job of a diamond (worn as jewellery) is to reflect light back to the viewer in a pleasing way - if it's not doing that and looks see-through because the angles aren't complementary, you've spent a great deal of money on something that looks like glass!

Thanks for the opinions everyone. Deciding whether or not i should send it back and look for a different one. Any advice?

I've not seen @Matthews1127 around for a while - she is good at analysing ECs so might be able to chime in :)

Do you have an ASETscope to look at it through?

Does the stone appeal to you in person? Does it go see-through in real life? Images on a screen aren't everything, but equally, poor light performance in real life is a waste of expensive material.

Are you able/willing to post your budget and preferences for colour/carat/clarity? We may be able to identify alternative options for you to consider :)

I don't have an ASETscope, yesterday was my first time hearing of one actually.

In person yes the stone shines very nicely to me but i am an amateur who never paid attention to diamonds until recently.

No problem my budget us $4k for the stone itself, and preferences would be 1.50 L/w, D-H color, .95-1+ carat, and clarity vs2 on up.

Hey, apologies, I've not been online much for various reasons!

Did you purchase the stone in question?

I'm not sure if anyone else might be able to assist :)

No problem and yep purchased the stone and having it set as we speak. Should be receiving it next week.
Cool, please do post some pictures when it arrives or once it has been presented! :)

A very pretty ring! It looks lovely on, too. Congratulations!!
