Need opinions on a particular diamond..

I am thinking about this diamond:

I would be interested in getting some opinions.. A jeweler that I have been talking to quoted this exact diamond at around 10,500.. (about 600 less than bluenile is selling it for.. i just love the price discrepencies).

I am most concerned about the clouds that are shown when you click to view the GIA report.

Thoughts?

1. Blue Nile diamonds are not usually able to be gotten in by other E vendoors - but most B&M stores can get them - and BN have a higher margin than most E vendors - so if your local guy is happy to supply you then go for it.

It is pin points not shown on the report - the clouds are shown and they will probably be impossible for you to see with a loupe.
Labs often do not draw more than the main "grade makers" or the report takes too long and gets ''orrible looking.

Can get it in and then you can compare it to other stones etc for your self. You could get an ideal-scope for $25 and do some analysis too.

I assume you are concerned with it being 100% eyeclean.

Ask the jeweler to call about the stone, maybe he is familiar with the Co. that owns the stone.

Good dealers will tell jewelers the facts straight-up.

Unfortunately, from my experience with unknown dealers it runs around 50/50 .

Some will tell you, some will not.

The standing joke in the industry is "it depends on whether you are selling it or buying it"
