I Input the info of this GIA certified stone in HCA tool, and got 0.9 -excellent total visual performance. Wonder if the tool could be applied to this stone since its girdle is not medium. It is slightly thick to thick.

Measurements: 7.33 - 7.37 x 4.49 mm
Carat Weight: 1.50 carat
Color Grade: I
Clarity Grade: SI1
Cut Grade: Very Good
Proportions
Depth: 61.1%
Table: 57%
Crown Angle: 33.5°
Crown Height: 14.0%
Pavilion Angle: 40.8°
Pavilion Depth: 43.0%
Star Length: 45%
Lower Half: 75%
Girdle: Slightly Thick to Thick, Faceted (4.0%)
Culet: None

yap, the thick part of the girdle drops the cut grade to VG, everything else looks promising. Thicker girdle means hiding some weight, probably to get it over the 1.5carat mark where there is a large jump in $/carat, visual performance wise should not be an issue.

thank you very for your reply.

I found another stone I like and I need your opinion on it.

GIA Very good cut
Depth: 59
table: 62
girdle medium (3%)
culet: none
florescence: none

crown angle: 33
pavilion angle: 41
polish: very good
symmetry: excellent
HCA score: 2

The price is quite reasonable and I wonder if the table is too large
