Can anyone please help me decipher this appraisal?

This is what I able to make out:

"Ladies round shape diamond _____ ring weighing .65 TCW G color VS1 clarity Excellent ______ 14K solid white gold 2.9g .53 center diamond .12 side diamonds"

I'm considering buying this ring off of eBay. The listed price is approximately $430 obo. The appraisal is from John Miele Jewelers in New York. I've tried contacting Mr. Meile, but have not received a response. The seller does not know any other specs so I understand that this is may be a risky purchase.

here are some (blurry) pictures of the ring

I think the second blank says "make." I don't know what style that person called it. But it has an illusion head, a style that extends metal beyond the diamond. It's supposed to enlarge the apparent size of the diamond. It looks like a "fishtail" illusion type head, because it has the triple pronged look that makes a round diamond look square. Maybe the jeweler called it some archaic term that is no longer in common use. I think I see '75 or so as date of the appraisal. The ring is a '40s/'50s style. By 1975, it would have been considered outdated. But vintage styles are respected and popular now.

Thank you for your input AdaBeta27. I see the 3 prong that you mentioned now. Yes, the seller did mentioned that it's a vintage.

I don't think there is any purpose contacting the jeweler since the appraisal was done in 1975. That jeweler very likely has been retired for some time!

I'd never go by an appraisal like that anyway. As long as there is a good return policy, you can order it and get a local appraisal. I would not buy without a return policy. Whatever you do, do not tell the appraiser (if a jeweler) that you bought the ring on ebay or online. You'll likely get some negative comments if you do, and worst case, they may discourage you from keeping it so you will buy from them!

Thank you diamondseeker2006. The seller does offer a 14 day money back return policy.

Could the word after diamond say engagement or engaged? When I first saw it I thought it said engraved but it doesn't appear to be an engraved ring so now I'm thinking it says something like engaged
