Need help, saw 2 EC''s today, how can I compare them & other ???''s...

I''ve been to countless jewelers looking for a stone for me and nada, yet today I found 2 that I really like at 2 different jewelers. First question: How important (really) is crown height? I don''t have that info for either but I''m sure I could find out. Second question: How can I compare 2 different diamonds in 2 different locations? I think I have a preference for one of them, but I have mommy brain and have already forgotten what they look like! I''ll give all the specs on each diamond that I have. I would also appreciate any feedback you might have on either stone based on this limited info. Both are GIA certified with no fluorescence.

1st EC:
1.72
H color (though it seemed a very good "H" color if that makes sense)
VS1
8.15 X 5.72 X 3.84
67.1% depth
67% table
thin-sl thick girdle
vg polish
g symmetry
Price just under $11K out the door

2nd EC:

amytude: you should message kevinraja as well. I am not in love with the numbers on number #1 too deep and table too big. Now number 2 has a larger table but it could still be lovely IF the crown isnt too shallow. what did it look like from the side ? Was it flat as a pancake or is it "built up? again--there should be a visble "crown" of diamond" coming up from the girdle...........Crown is REALLY important. REALLY. If its too shallow they look glassy and dead if they a smidge dirty or there is no bright light. Help from the peanut gallery???????????????????????????????????????

The one I really like is the 2nd one...just called the store and the jeweler said there is no way to know the crown angle (%age) if the GIA cert doesn''t mention it. Is this true? HELP!!!!!!!!

true unless it gets a sarin run on it--------so take it to an appraiser who can do the sarin

You need a sarin report. If your jeweler can''t get it you need a new jeweler. I highly recommend you buy online. More info and much cheaper.

ditto................the price on those is higher than what i found for you and at first blush they arent even as nice
