Need help on picking a setting for cushion cut.

I'm in the process of picking a setting for a 1.0 carat cushion cut and can't decide between the two settings. The diamonds in the settings will not be the one I use as I have a 1.0 carat. I'm think if I could do the one that is more square like with different prongs, that might look the best with a cushion cut. Any suggestions?

I prefer the first over the second and agree about the prongs. But not really loving either of them though, is this for you or for your lady? Of the two the OP posted I like the first ring better- but with more delicate prongs

Thanks for the responses, the ring is for my girlfriend. I know she want a split shank with a double halo type setting. If I go with the first one do you think they could use the prongs from the second one, I don't want the diamond sticking too far out.

I think all 3 options look amazing, but as a prong obsessed nut case, I'm drawn to the first photo you posted - its the prongs that speak to me! I love the double claw look... but I know I'm biased!
