Hi everyone!

I rarely post on PS but I have a friend who is looking for a stone and I thought I would help him ask the experts here on what to look for in a diamond. The specs he wants is below:

1.20 - 1.50 carats
at least F color
at least VS1 clarity
Ideal cut

He's looking at the 3 stones below from Bluenile. Please give me your opinion on these stones and their prices. Which one do you prefer?

1) http://www.bluenile.com/build-your-...tep=DIAMONDS_STEP|builder=BYOR|pid=LD01920290

2) http://www.bluenile.com/build-your-...tep=DIAMONDS_STEP|builder=BYOR|pid=LD02454115

3) http://www.bluenile.com/build-your-...tep=DIAMONDS_STEP|builder=BYOR|pid=LD02389026

What information should he ask from Bluenile before purchasing?

Thanks in advance!

Any suggestion? Please give me some inputs on the stones above or I really appreciate if someone can help me find some diamonds for him to choose from. I honestly can't help him much as I do not own anything above 1 ct (my solitaire is .70) so I can't help him narrow down on the size. Her finger size is 5. What size diamond would look best on a size 5 finger in your opinion? Any direction would help at this point. Thanks so much!!!

I really don't like the larger tables on those stones, personally. I stick with 54-58.

Do the diamonds have to come from Blue Nile? Because there are vendors who have pictures of the stones and a lot more information about cut than BN. And budget is up to $15,500?

Thanks diamondseeker for chiming in. I hoped that you would see this thread because I drooled over your RB. Diamond doesn't have to come from Bluenile. I think it's what came up first when he's trying to search for a diamond. He told me his budget is 18k but I really think he's more comfortable at 15-16k as all the diamonds he shows me are in this price range. Thanks for the suggestions so far. I will give him those links to check out.

Thank you! I hope one of these might be a good one for him, but if not, come back and we'll try again!
