Need help finding out what this is made of

Trying to get a replica created of the band on the left (brown one). Need help figuring out what it's made of. Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like it is some sort of inlay in to metal. You might check on Etsy to see what kind of inlay rings there are and there are many stone inlay and other material rings, even wood inlay. For better durability over wood or stone and a ring with pretty patterns, you might check for mokume gane inlay rings or damascus steel.
