My boyfriend and I found a Coast Diamonds engagement ring a few months ago that we both really liked.

He has been talking to some jewelers i guess seeing if they could duplicate it more or less, but he wants a photo.

He asked me to find one, but believe me, i''ve tried!

I''m hoping that somebody out there can maybe help.

It''s by coast diamonds , a white gold ring with baguette and round diamonds on the setting. Its like, center diamond, round on each side, and baguettes next to the rounds i think. Something like that. The Band that went with it had like, aprox three round diamonds in the middle and baguettes on the side of those.

somewhere online there has got to be a photo! Can anyone help?

Hi, and welcome to PS!

Can I ask why you are just not ordering the ring you want from Coast? That is your best bet to get exactly what you want. They make nice quality rings which are not priced quite as high as some of the designer settings out there. And if you go to a jeweler who is Coast dealer, then you can probably see the catalog and find the ring you are interested in.

I agree with DS that if you like the coast version, I''d probably just get that one. I think Bluenile sells a similar setting so you might check out their website. also, Whiteflash made this for sheribaby, maybe it''s close?

Because he wants to do it his way and i promised to keep my nose out of it

*shrug*

it doesn''t have any kind of divider thing in the middle they just fit all snugly together

In Bridal Set collections the second and I think fifth picture might be it.

The sixth picture is very close!

i''ve looked at the coast page a dozen times how did i miss that ? I guess becuaes of the gold on the sides i probably never clicked on it! The one i saw didn''t have the gold heart dealys... but hmm i kind of like those! lol

Thank you!

Hope this picture works. I''m just learning to attach files.

Well, he may want to do it his way, but I think it may cost more to get those done custom than it would be to get them from Coast! I looked at some Coast rings and they are very nice quality. Good luck!

I agree. Also, there are many intricate details in that setting that I''d be afraid to have someone try to recreate it personally. Gosh, you know Pearlmans has a Tacori ring in his close out section that is very close to that design. It deosn''t have the rounds but it appears to have some of the scroll work underneath.

Yeah this is an important point about trying to get someone else to make what you''ve seen on a website or catalog. It''s gonna be really tough to get a lower price from someone making it custom versus the company who actually has the ring in production. The custom guy has to cover all his costs within one sale, while the production company already has the mold, design etc and can break up the cost over many many copies of the given style.

i tried to *nicely* tell him that, 1) custom work would be more expensive and 2) quality is a key thing.......... but it turned into a huge thing. sigh.

his mother is CHEAP and she raised him to believe that name brands are just that. That you are paying for the "name" always, not the quality.

I can''t compete with 28 years of thinking that way.

Understood...the ''brand premium'' may be true with companies like Tiffany, Harry Winston etc....but I doubt its much the case with Coast
