Hi everyone,

I have spent countless hours reading these forums and in the process learning so much. After looking at hundreds of diamonds, I think I have narrowed it down to 2 finalists and would like your opinions. Both have a strong blue fluorescence which I actually like as well as being eye-clean.

Certificate: GIA

According to the gemologist that examined them, both have great light performance. The "I" has a very slight hint of haziness due to fluorescence but didn't think anyone other than a gemologist would notice it. She also noted that The "G" looks closer to an "F." The big question is whether the specs are worth the $1600 difference. Thanks in advance!

Yes, two color grades higher is worth $1600. I'd take the G as long as it is eyeclean.

I second the G. I'd take that slight hit in clarity for a better color!

In terms of cut they are equal to me.

Its a substantial price difference for the color. What type of setting are you interested in?

Have you thought about looking for an eye clean SI1? There is a large premium for Vs1.

Thanks for the responses so far! Great group here.

I was thinking of a thin pave setting with F/G VS stones. I tried looking for an eye clean SI1 but they actually cost more than these two stones right here. Here's a comparable I SI1 that I considered:
