Hi everyone!

I'm actually looking for a princess cut of 1-1.2ct with good balance of price, size and sparkling!
I have been searching on James Allen, Ritani and B2C..and haven't found my one yet

just wonder if the symmetry of a princess cut very important?

one princess cut with excellent polish and symmetry, and one with ex polish + VG symmetry
does it worth $500 incremental?

And I'm going to buy it online and ship it to Hong Kong.
Is B2C and Ritani safe to do so?

Thank you so much for your help:)

1) $5500

We can't tell anything by the numbers alone with fancy cut diamonds. We need light return images to really assess performance, or an image/video would also be helpful.

What's your budget and desired specs (color/clarity)?

Tings, that's a sample image. Not an actual image of the diamond.

Do you have to have such high color and clarity?

This stone is beautiful but a bit smaller than you were looking for. Notice it has a 2 chevron pattern so the facets are bit chunkier and the stone will have larger, bolder flashes of light.

These are also nice but they have more chevrons so they will have more pinpoint flashes:

https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut/1.07-carat-e-color-vs2-clarity-sku-1984953

There's no right or wrong with the chevrons, just different "flavors" of princess cuts.

How about this one? thanks :)

You need to request and aset image. Looks nice but may have some leakage around the edge of the table.

Dear everyone

any comment on this diamond? in terms of sparkle?
there seems to be a hollow in the centre with no light reflection, is it normal for a princess cut?

Im thinking to buy the above one or
https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut/1.05-carat-e-color-vs2-clarity-sku-1109953

Although the weight of the one in JA is lighter, it looks actually a little bit bigger because of the LWD ratio?
I would like to have one with more sparkle. which one is better?

thanks a lot:)

I'm no expert so take what I say with a pinch of salt :) but I think it looks ok. Not amazing, but not terrible!

There does seem to be some leakage visible on both the ASETscope (on the left) and the IdealScope (on the right) where there is an absence of colour in the images.

Personally speaking, I would probably go with WhiteFlash's 'A Cut Above' stones from their in-house selection, which you can find using their search tool: http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/search.aspx

They have all the ASETscope and IdealScope images already uploaded, so you can see what is available quickly and easily.

Does it need to be over 1ct?

If not, you avoid paying the premium for the 1ct psychological barrier.

For example:

0.975ct G VS2 $4936 http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-3644850.htm
1.007ct G VS2 $5585 http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-3695586.htm

$650 more for 0.032ct, and the smaller one has a slightly bigger spread!
