Hi please help me! I need to make a decision by tomorrow. Both are GIA, same price, similar inclusions, and both look the same when I saw them (the only difference I could see is in the table). Both also show perfect or near-perfect H&A pattern. Which one would you go with and why?

1.04ct G VS2
6.57 - 6.60 x 3.95
Cut, Polish, and Symmetry: XXX
Table: 59%
Depth: 60%
Crown: 33.5
Pavilion: 40.8
Girdle: Medium 3%
Culet: None
Star: 50%
Lower Girdle: 75%

1.04ct G VS2
6.48 - 6.50 x 4.06
Cut, Polish, and Symmetry: XXX
Table: 54%
Depth: 62.5%
Crown: 34.5
Pavilion: 40.8
Girdle: Medium-Slightly Thick 3.5%
Culet: None
Star: 50%
Lower Girdle: 80%

Hearts and arrows is patterning, not light return, and is not a guarantee of light return. GIA is too broad and can have some dogs mixed in with the beauties. I would buy the one with the best light return. Verified with an idealscope image.

^basically.

Meh, IF I had to choose between ONLY those two stones. #2 cuz of the angles and the smaller table (although it's a little deeper, hence smaller spread vs #1). #1 is a 60/60 type stone - you may or may not like em.

Argh, unfortunately I cannot get any ideal scope images. I wish I did...

But let's just say both ideal scope images look good or at least similar to the other. That would then bring it back to which stone is still preferred?

I looked at both side by side and they look the same except for the small difference in the table. The glare from the larger table is a little more obvious but only when you are carefully looking for it and because I have another stone with a smaller table to compare it to.

The way I understand it, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that stone #1 has more spread with a larger table meaning 1) it should be subtly more "brilliant" than the other stone and 2) the larger spread indicates a "full diameter" stone compared to stone #2 which might indicate the stone looks more like a .90ct than a 1.04ct?

But stone #2 has a better crown angle. does the depth of 62.5% mean it could be darker?

But honestly with my own two eyes, they looked the same... which made my decision all the more difficult.

My jeweler is recommending that I go with the 59% table because of the spread. My worry is that the larger table can be more prone to light leakage? Since I don't have an ideal scope I'm thinking its safer to go with stone #2 with the better angles. Is 0.10mm diameter really a big difference anyway?
