Need advise on engagement ring!

Hello everyone, after dating my first girl friend and high school sweetheart for 12 years, I am getting ready to pop the question. I am in need of some help searching for the perfect ring. I am new to pricescope, but I have been reading the forums for some time now. My budget is $15,000. I am looking for a round cut, 1.5 - 1.7 ct, F-I, vs2-Si1, and the best cut possible. I found a couple of prospective diamonds on whiteflash and was wanting to get some feedback on them. Also, I would appreciate any other suggestions.

The Whiteflash 'A Cut Above'....does not get any better, that diamond should be fantastic, I love the Hearts & Arrows diamonds. For me that would be the perfect diamond. The I color & VS2 is a great compromise for your budget.

By the way...congratulations.

Both are very nice and score under 2.0 on the HCA. I personally would go for the bigger diamond as I would rather have a larger diamond over a ACA diamond. Since the 1.7 is still in the ideal range for cut I *personally* wouldn't notice a difference in preformance, but I would in size. Too each their own I don't think you can go wrong either way. Congrats.

Thank you both, there is still a lot of searching to do. I have never dealt with whiteflash before or have made such a large purchase online. Will I be able to set something up with them to look at the diamonds? Thanks advance

I have purchased from WF before and they are wonderful to work with. They have fantastic customer service and are well respected on PS. If you haven't already looked at their return policey they offer a 30 day back money quarenteed so you really can't beat that.

***I think if you want to view a diamond but aren't local they will ship it to you and put a hold on your CC. If you decide to purchase then you move forward. If not then you return the diamond and they release your card once it has been inspected upon arrival. I would contact WF to double check though as policeys etc change. Worst case scenario is you buy the diamond and they just return it within the 30 day window if you don't love it.

If you want peace of mind you could always fly to TX too and view in their showroom. I'm not sure where you are located so it might be an easy $100 SWA ticket.
