I''d love to hear your opinions. Also, should I be asking JA for other info that WF and GOG provide such as the hearts view, aset, etc? Just want to make sure I''m not missing anything.

Lovely diamond! I take it you want E VVS? You might know you could lower colour and clarity and get a larger diamond, but this isn''t the best choice for everyone and if that is what you prefer then no problem!

JA only supply Idealscope to the best of my knowledge, hearts images are preferred with h&a to judge the cut precison but JA don''t provide them, however it looks like a very well cut stone.
 
Ditto about going down in clarity, at least. Especially since your colour selection (E) is so high. But its all about what''s "mindclean" for you.....
 
I would like to stick to the .5 carat arena and really just want an excellently cut stone. I know nothing about analyzing idealscope images other than what their website and 2 days of looking at many images provides. Anyone care to give a brief analysis of this stone''s idealscope for me? Do the dark triangles on both sides of each inside star arm mean anything? Also, is it a good idea to have JA laser inscribe the stone prior to purchase or will that decrease value?

The IS looks good, to properly judge a H&A you really need a hearts image which we don't have, however this is an excellently cut diamond and it should be a beauty. You could ask about inscription, JA could probably arrange to have it done for you, I don't think it decreases value, however it is rare to get back what you pay for a diamond if you try to ever resell it, just a thought.
