Hi everyone! This is my first time posting, but I''ve been reading this forum for quite a while. I''m in need of some advice. I was looking at some diamonds from an online vendor and came across this one:

GIA
Round Brilliant Cut
1.08 ctw
Color: I
Clarity: SI1
Measurements: 6.59-6.66 x 4.06 mm
Diameter: 6.61
Total Depth: 61.7%
Table Size: 58.1%
Pavilion Angle: 41.6
Crown Angle: 34.2
Culet: 0.4%
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None

Price: $4029

I know that there are many idealists out there, but I''m on a pretty tight budget constraint. I know that this is not an ideal cut diamond, but I figured that nobody will look at my ring upclose anyway.

Is this diamond worth the price? I have tried the HCA and the score is not very good.

Thanks!

How does the color look? It may appear slightly yellow because the stone is on the larger side. Is the si1 completely eye clean? If you are happy with the ring and the way it looks, then in my opinion, enjoy it and don''t worry about the specs. Try to negotiate on the price a bit. Many vendors will come down some in price or offer free shipping or something like that. Which vendor are you considering buying from?

Thanks for you reply Christine. This is from Whiteflash and I''m working with Bob. I haven''t seen the diamond in person, so it''s really a tough decision.

I''m in the same boat. I am purchasing a 1.50 ct yellow diamond sight unseen. I will get it early next week. I will take it to AGA
to get it appraised/certed next week. It''s from Diamonds By Lauren, they have a good reputation. I''ve heard good about Whiteflash too. Ask WF about their return policy. Ask how many days is it good for, a full refund vs. exchange? A refund is ideal. Get the stone looked at by an independent appraiser like AGA. It''s should cost a lot probably under $100.00. Don''t get it done in a chain jewelry store.
Good Luck
