I need advice on these two diamonds. Are they considered ideal cuts? Which one would you choose? Any input is appreciated!

No. 1.
GIA Certified but no sarin or brillancescope reports.

Well, neither would fit AGS 0 specs because of polish/symm being less than EX.....but the angles on #2 look very nice. I suspect isn't not likely an H&A due to short pav angle, though.




Can't tell anything about #1 without crown/pav angles.....sorry.

Yeah! What she said!

#2 scores VERY well on the HCA. 0.7, TIC, Ex/Ex/Ex/Vg. Definite potential there for a great performer! Sarin info, or crown and pavillion %'s would be a big help for #1.

Both are SI2. Have you gotten Cert plots, magnified pics, descriptions of the inclusions, seen either stone in person?

#2 seems to be a very fine make with a steep crown angle and a shallow pavilion. The overall result should be pretty amazing.

I would be a little careful with the stone's clarity... SI 2 may not be eye-clean at this size. You may want to get a few magnified pictures as well as an overall impression!
