I'm not an expert, but these numbers don't look good to me. Have you gone to http://www.gemappraisers.com? If not, you should! Under "AGA cut grade charts and rules" you can select the chart for radiant stones and see what the ideal proportions are for your cut.
The table got a 3B (Fair to Good)
The Depth got a 3A (Fair to Good)
Girdle got a 2B (Fair to Good)
I know the table is a little over the standard and the depth is just a little bit over the standard. But the diamond sparkles and is very beautiful. Plus I can get it for $8,850.
Have you compared the stone to those that rate in the 1A-1B range? I ask this because, if you read my earlies threads, I was set on one particular stone because I liked its size, color, and clarity. After lots of research, however (viewing several stones), I realized that I would be better off trading color and clarity for cut. It REALLY seemed to make a difference in the stones I saw. IMO, when something seems like a "steal" it probably is because most people wouldn't view the stone as a bargain, and would prefer to pay more to get something of better quality. There are always exceptions, but I would never personally accept a stone rated lower than 1B overall. Did you get a Sarin or anything on it? BScope? Ideal scope? It would be interesting to see the visuals of the stone
