Hi. I have a 1.46ct cushion cut diamond and I think it might look small for the carat weight. It''s measurements are 6.87x6.23x3.94mm. The depth is 63% and the table is 60%. Am I right? I see some 1 carat diamonds that look bigger than mine. I have taken it''s shape into consideration. I know rounds tend to look biggest for carat weight. Any advice?

What''s the girdle thickness? It does seem a bit on the small side, based on a Pricescope search, especially given its relatively low depth.

with that good depth and table I would think it would be bigger...maybe a thick girdle and maybe a really high crown make it look small...could be hiding size in a lot of places...

but all shapes look smaller than a round

anyone else?

Agredd with the other answers: this is a bit small and it could be either the girdle thickness or some other cut detail (say, a radiant-style pavilion with extra steep upper girdle facets) may explain this.

Do you have any other information about the stone ? The girdle thickness should be mentioned on the lab report.

As for size, a cushion can have the same spread (surface) as a round, or very close.

I agree, i''m looking for a cushion in the low 1ct that has similar dimensions to that stone, with similar depths, as others have mentioned, I would try to find out girlde thickness or crown angle, it''s hiding somewhere...
