Pl,

Welcome to Pricesope.

Something like this one, in consideration along with a broader range of options Jonathan and his staff can show you at Good Old Gold in Long Island is what I''d be predisposed to recommending. You can search the boards here to read about him and his shop, to learn that you''d be pretty well cared for there.

Regards, and good wishes!

the only thing else i know she like is the tiffany style setting where the ring stand out a little more

and i would love to make an appointment to good old gold if any one could help me with that

you can adjust the setting height

i admit, I don't really know what you mean about Tiffany settings, but GOG carries many lines.

What kind of help were you looking for?

Here''s their web site, also linked on my post above. If I were you, I''d give them a call.

First of all don''t worry, this can be a great experience for you, you have a great budget and will be able to find a great diamond! Ira and Julie have given you good advice to start, as for an appointment with Jon at GOG, I believe he is in Long Island which if I know my geog properly isn''t too far from you - call him and he will be pleased to meet with you and find you a great diamond. Cut is most important as you probably know, if you have spent any time reading here, it is what makes a diamond beautiful. Jon should have a selection of Tiffany style solitaires to choose from, as Julie says the diamond can be set higher or lower in the head ( top part of the ring which cradles the diamond) and this is no problem. Best thing is to take advantage of your vendors''s expertise like Jon, he will help you every step of the way. I purchased from Michael Jay Fifth Avenue in the DD, he has an online service as well as his salon, he was fantastic and I wholeheartedly recommend him, but do be careful if you go to the district, it can be a minefield out there from what I have heard and you really need to know what you are doing and what to buy.
