Necklace project using original ER stone and necklace chain

Hi PSers. Time for a new project and I hope I can get some good advice and opinions on how to construct my new necklace from my
original 2.35ct pear ER. February of 2013 my DH upgraded my ER to a beautiful MRB and I can't stand the thought of not having the stone that he proposed to me with almost 30 years ago. It is G color and I have no idea if the cut is good or not and it does have a feather but looks pretty clean otherwise. The side stones are pears as well that I could use. The necklace is 18K white gold and has topaz dangles that I will remove. It has 3 bow shaped pieces each with 3 small round diamonds. I would like to hang the larger pear from the center bow using either the other small pears or other shaped diamonds. Any ideas??? I don't want to make it too dressy as I would like to be able to wear this during the day as well as night. I will add a picture of the ring and the found necklace. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Personally, I do not like the look of the Topaz necklace, as the drops do not hang nicely for me, and it looks too fussy/dressy to get much wear.

As for recycling your original ER, I personally would make a 3-stone pendant with the stones, either all 3 lined up on a line with the largest at the bottom like this one:

or for the larger stone set as a drop hanging from the middle of two smaller pears like this one, but with the pears instead of marquises:

I also like the idea of having the pears made into a suite of halo earrings and pendant like this:

I'd personally make the necklace like the ruby ones and use the side stones in drop earrings!!!!

I'm late here but to wear it every day I would think you should just make a bezel pendant.. white gold or platinum and make either earrings or have a wedding band made out of the two smaller pears, with baguettes, but that is me

I like DBTY necklace with simple bezeled stone at the end. I'd make the two sides in to studs

Thank you Diamondseeker, Tekate and heididdl. All of your ideas sound good. I have been sitting on this for awhile because I have not been able to decide how to proceed. I know it is a big commitment $ wise so I want to do something I will love wearing.
If I do use a DBTY necklace as the chain, what size station stones should I use heididdl?

If you want to be able to wear it with casual clothes, given that it's a pretty big stone, I'd do the big pear with a round, plainly prong-set, and then drop earrings with the sidestones. Then I'd wear the pendant on a DBTY to dress it up, and on a plain chain for everyday wear.
