It's actually black leather cord with copper and brass. He bought it on a trip to Maui, at the swap meet.
It is vintage surfer style, maybe 1970's.

So I guess I need to get busy 'cause I made the ones on his ring and pinky fingers.
The brass skull was custom made for him by a local artist friend of ours.
He has some gold rings, too. He rotates them around. Just like me!

He also has 3 piercings in his left earlobe. A gold stud, a sterling stud, and a .25 diamond stud!
He doesn't wear necklaces or chains.

I do like the skull, all his rings are very cool. I never see guys decked out in a lot of jewelry like that. DH wears his wedding band all the time and on special occasions he has two pinky rings he will put on but that's about it.

It might be a regional thing. Here in NM, Native jewelry is always popular. Big chunky sterling and turquoise rings and cuff bracelets for both men and women. Large sterling and turquoise belt buckles are common, too. So it is not unusual to see large pieces on men.
Plus, we hang around with the artsy crowd (DH is a photographer) so anything goes!
