My version of a snake ring

So I've been looking at Victorian snake rings online.
Gosh, they are just so overpriced.
So I decided as an experiment, to create one of my own from sterling.
I had this little diamond just lying around, so I set him into the snake's head.

I used to do jewelry shows, but they are a lot of work. Anymore I just make pieces for myself.
It's getting really hard for me to see, and tiny work is becoming difficult. I need reader glasses for everything I do these days!

I researched Victorian snake rings, and looked at lots of photos. I was just messing around, and didn't expect it to turn out OK. I was fully expecting to have to dig out that diamond and try again!
I may try another one with a colored stone.
