My upgraded ring!!!!!

After lots of looking around, and advice from everyone on Pricescope. I came to realize that I really was not happy with the craftsmanship from my original Kay/Belden jewelers setting... nor the customer service.

I do love my Leo diamond though, so I found a new setting, almost identical to my old one, only BETTER! So, now my ring is here and I am wearing it with a huge smile!!!

My center diamond is 0.98ct Leo diamond, G, SI2
Sidestones are G, VS2 .20tcw
Yellow gold setting, delicate platinum prongs

For comparisons sake... here is my new ring (left), with the old setting (right). I had a moissanite set into the old setting so I can wear it camping or traveling.

See how the craftsmanship of the old setting was just not as nice?!

God, no! This time I took the ring and the diamond to be set a local jeweler who does very nice work. They didn''t have a the setting that I wanted, and their diamonds are not what I was looking for, which is why I did not use them originally. I''m never letting Kays touch my ring again!

I was initially concerned because the new setting voids my "6 month prong check" warranty with Kays. But I decided to just insure it on my homeowners and be done with Kays entirely! Plus its nice to know the ring is fully insured and I can wear it with confidence! I''m so happy, and I should mention my husband is thrilled as well!
