are you by any chance an ox or Taurus? This makes a perfect zodiac pendant

I am not, nor are my close relatives, hence why it’s an impulse buy:lol-2: It just struck me as cute and country-lifey I guess. I do have a zodiac pendant that I have not taken off (except for cleaning and changing string) since little. I thought a few times about upgrading but gave up in the end as I felt bad about replacing it.

Hi fellow CSers!
I saw so many beautiful stones and projects from other people, thought I'd share mine as well:) Happy to hear any thoughts on them, good or bad, I think it'll be a good learning experience as well.

1. Tsavorite+Merelani, WG.
This is my first ring ever. I got the tsavorite first, then when I saw the merelani I just had to have them together in a project. There's a visible inclusion in the merelani, though if you don't squint it's not that obvious because sparkles.
I learned a lesson here not to choose settings where band is thin on the side. Apparently I am fussy about it against my other fingers.

2. Green sapphire and white topaz, WG
It's more blue in daylight and more green inside. Goes a little dark when the light is dim, but I am so in love with the color when it's there.

3. Green sapphire, YG
I'm expecting it tomorrow! Will share in the thread when it's here. It's a simple band with the stone east-west.

I also have a few stones that I have not decided on a setting yet. Recommendations very much welcome and appreciated!
1. Green sapphire

I guess I have a very obvious preference. There's just so many different shades of green that I love, and I think green sapphires are so underrated. Well, good for me price-wise!
This is a vendor picture but 90% accurate, with just a little less saturation IRL.

2. Yellow chrysoberyl
It's around 1ct, labelled as a highlighter. Are highlighters silky? I'm not sure where the neon comes from.

3. Green chrysoberyl
My first post was to ask for setting recommendations for this one so maybe some of you have seen it:) It has a window (I think? The cut does not look very shallow but the color is lighter in the middle. Can anyone explain?) but I thought the color was refreshing and I have not seen a lot of chrysoberyls with little yellow. I am not very experienced though.

4. Pink spinel
It's tiny (0.3+ct) but I think it would look cute in a bowtie kind of ring with YG?

That's it! Hope you enjoyed and would love to hear your thoughts & advice. Have a good day!

I did end up setting the pink Jedi in a bowtie but with WG. Debated for a minute whether it would be too cutesy and decided nah.
Been waiting for a sunny day to take pictures but it’s been several days and it’s still cloudy:( so here’s an indoor pic

It’s been a little while since I had a stone set given my venture into jade. But here’s one! It’s the moody parti-sapphire that goes an almost metallic grey-black in some lights. It’s likely not ideal but I saw a setting that I think compliments it well. In the right light it’s a lake sunrise and when it goes dark it hopefully still looks cool. The setting can be taken apart and worn separately.
I usually don’t post vendor pics but am curious and excited. Hope it turns out well in person.
(P.S. please note this is an original design from the vendor)

A cool stone (is it an Aussie?) in an ingenious setting. No doubt when you receive it you will show us how the conversion works.

I am not sure about the origin of the stone, would def be happy if it‘s Aussie but my guess is Sri Lanka or Myanmar as the vendor sources from there most often. Yes I will of course share:D I think it’s a “fit together” rather than a “click together” though, we’ll see

I love parti sapphires, and that setting is very interesting. What do they call that cut? Can't wait for details.

I vaguely remember it’s a mixed cut but can’t remember the details. I will share more pics soon! Just received it but weather is so bad.

The promised update, with a few shots to show how it slots together. You can wear each half on it’s own as well. I think one thing I really like about the design is that the sparkle is not from diamonds but from cut on the band, and each little square is different. It is the core of the design concept that everyone is an island, we can come together or go apart but each one of us is unique, and that we can embrace both the solitude and solidarity of it.

Both the design and the sapphire are beautiful! I've never seen such interesting carving on a ring band, and I think it looks gorgeous! Very modern but shows lots of bling ATST! I love bluish-green or teal stones and the cushion cut gem is just perfect:kiss2:

Thank you viridian! I think the design is really neat (obviously lol), and teal stones are just so beautiful!

Timor, this is fabulous, I love the metalwork and the philosophy behind it. Will you share who does this kind of work?
Seriously, one of the best rings I've seen in quite a while.

Thank you very much! The vendor is called JackGem, they are based in China (on Taobao) and have their own bench. This is one of their own designs (I think they mentioned it’s patented), the original design is with black spinel but you can order-make with other stones. I can’t remember if they work with outside stones though, probably not. They did quite a lot of my projects.
