Thanks for your lovely comments. Aoife these were gifts from my Dad - the ring was for my 21st and the pendant he got from a store in Tasmania on a whim, so I don't know much about them but I have had them valued and the valuation stated they are both pink/purple natural rubies. The ruby in the ring is .45 ct and the ruby in pendant is .35 ct. It doesn't state that there were any treatments so I guess that means they are untreated? They both have dress diamonds the ring has about 18 pt I'm not sure about the pendant but I will have a look and check.

Oh the ring I remember was from a store in Fremantle called Quirici Jewellers (WA Australia for those non-australians) a little independent store that designs its own jewellery.
