Hi everyone!

Longtime lurker here and I now that I'm engaged I wanted to share my amazing new e-ring. I was fortunate enough to have a say in my e-ring and took it upon myself to learn as much about diamonds as possible. Thank you to the posters here especially for the valuable information on cushion cuts. I fell in love with them and probably searched and looked at hundreds of diamonds online (and some in person) as everyone knows, you can't judge a cushion by its specs!

I heard about Ritani, and with their great online store, virtual gemologist appointments, and ability to send 2 completed rings to a store close to you to view before committing to buy, I found what I was looking for. My diamond, does not exactly fit "ideal" cushion specs (and I was worried about that) but it looks amazing in person and gets a ton of compliments. Not to mention Ritani's craftsmanship on the ring was so much more beautiful and delicate in person that I could have imagined!

Here are the specs:

Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Very good

The specs of my stone were better than we were looking for (F-H color range, S1-VS1 clarity) given the budget we had, but I found this stone with an 8-main pavilion and knew it'd be the one. I found out they weren't cut this way anymore and were highly desired in cushions and I can see why. I think it looks beautiful in all lighting conditions, but the sparkle is just eye catching in lowlight. I see why cushions are called the candlelight diamonds. My fiancé was definitely impressed with my knowledge of stones (enough so to even correct the few sales people we encountered at brick&mortar stores).

Thanks again for the valuable information and discussions shared here Pricescope!
