Hi Everyone,

I am so excited. I purchased 2 beautiful Padparadscha sapphires awhile ago, from The Natural Sapphire Company.

I finally decided to have them put into a pendant. I asked them to design a pendant for me. Steven Bliss and SuSu are so wonderful to work with. This is the design they came up with.

The Pendant itself, will be larger then a quarter, as my Pads are good size. We are not adding diamonds around the circle, as SuSu said, it will be too much bling and take away from the gorgeous color of the two Pads.

Here is a picture of the design for now. I should have the Pendant in time for Christmas.

Oh No, it is too big. I will email it to Andrey and see if he can help me.

Linda

Andrey emailed me and said he will be posting my picture soon.

I hope you all like the sketching of it.

WOW! That''s going to be gorgeous!

Can you explain a bit more about it? What color(s) of gold will you be using...and are those little diamonds in the ''leaves''?

What fun, Linda! Can''t wait to see the finished product!

Ditto! I can''t wait to hear more about the details! How beautiful and delicate looking!

It all will be white gold. Yes those are little diamonds in the leaves. We were going to do diamonds around the circle, but we decided it is too much "bling".

Some of you may not agree, ha ha ha, but we didn''t want to take away from the two center stones in the flowers (the padparadschas) The Padparadschas are two different colors, so they will be like two different color flowers. I can''t wait to see it finished.

It was suggested to me of doing rose gold around the circle, but I am not a huge rose gold fan and with the all white gold I could wear it with everything. The pendant will be larger then a quarter.

Linda Thank you Andrey for posting the picture

Widget,

Another reason for all white gold... the pads will POP their color in the setting

Oh and those are little diamonds around each pad flower too.

heheee yes I do. Is the one in your avatar going to be one of the pads in the necklace? How long will it take to complete this project? Is the outer circle going to be engraved or smooth? YAAAAY Linda

Oh Linda, WOW!!! It''s going to be fabulous!!!

Wow that is going to look fantastic! I was wondering how it would look being the size (thereabouts) of a quarter but really, will look delicate, feminine and yet, very substantial. :-)

You mentioned that you decided against diamonds around the outter circle. Are you going to have it engraved with a pattern? Perhaps an open, soft leafy pattern similar to the leaves inside the circle? Or just solid white metal?

Judy
:-)

CCU,

I think it is going to be milgrained edged around the circle. I am so excited I forgot what SuSu told me this morning. I will have to call her Monday to find out. I did want a larger pendant, so if it is a little larger than a quarter that is A-OK with me. Being there are two pad flowers, instead of one, it makes the pendant so much larger.

Lisa: Thank you, I was hoping you would like it.

Ooooo, Linda, it''s going to be gorgeous!! I can''t wait to see it when it is done.

Skippy,

No, the Pad in my Avatar was set into a ring that I wear as my wedding ring at times.

Thank you Michelle, I can''t wait until it is done. They promised me it will be done by Christmas.

Linda

Wow, Linda, that is really going to be beautiful and unique. When I first saw the sketch, I thought it would look good with a mix of white and rose gold, but all white will also be great. I can''t wait to see the finished pendant.

Thank you Kay, I can''t wait either.

HI:

Wow---looks great in the drawing; can''t wait to see the piece IRL!

cheers--Sharon

Hi Linda,

That has got to be the most gorgeous pendant I''ve seen, and it''s "only" a sketch. I can''t wait to see the finished product! I just showed it to my FI and he asked if it was going to be part of TNSC''s line. I told him it was a custom piece for someone and I didn''t think so. His face fell a little bit. Who knew the guy was so into jewelry?

Seriously, I love your pendant! I think you chose well with white gold instead of rose gold. It will go with anything and it will make those pads stand out even more. Gorgeous!

Sharon,

Thank you so much.

Zoe: You have my permission to use this sketch if you would like. I can tell SuSu and Steven Bliss it is OK with me. I talk to them all the time, ha ha ha ha. I am a regular customer there, with my pads.

I can''t wait to see it either. I know they are really busy for Christmas, so I hope to have the pendant by Christmas.

I am sending them my two Pads tomorrow. One Pad is .60 and the other one is .87. To see them side by side, they both look the same size though, not much different. I can''t wait to see them set inside the flower.

Linda

Linda, I am very excited to see your finished pendant. That is going to be beautiful. Pad sapphires are awesome.

Yay, Linda! Keep us posted.

That looks like a wonderful design for your new Pads! Can''t wait to see the end result!

Thanks Linda! I''m afraid we won''t be in the market for any more jewelry for quite a while, but when and if the time comes, I''ll keep this is mind.
