Hi all! I've been on a buying freeze for awhile but yesterday bought this. It is for my anniversary and also to celebrate my new grand daughter who is due Sept 1. She will inherit this stone. I love it and need some setting ideas for a ring that is classic and hopefully she will love to wear one day in the future. Specs of the stone- 3.05 ct unheated origin of Sri Lanka roughly 9x7x5 mm. Thanks for sharing in my excitement! (I tried to attach the video but couldn't. Here is a screenshot)

Oh it's beautiful Mrs Strizzle!

If you're going classic, can't go past a halo like your avatar ring.

Or you could go more frufru and do a white diamond melee, pink sapphire, blue sapphire triple halo in that order

or a marquis tilted halo which I am partial to (a la Bulbasaur)

Oooohh, hadn't thought of a colored halo or marquis! It is a touch smaller than I usually like so a larger halo would definitely be more my style.
 
A classic three stone would also be lovely. In either a halo of large stones or a three stone I might pair it with sapphires that echo the pink in the bicolor sapphire!

That's a great idea too! I don't have a 3 stone in my collection now either!

Blue and pink would be a fantastic three stone, or diamonds of course.

Just gorgeous! I love the pink and blue flashes. Picking those colors up in halos would be amazing!

Thank you! I haven't decided on how to set it yet, as I seem to love every idea I have:lol: . The ring you see is a lavender spinel. I don't recall it's ct size but it is 10 mm. I'm always on the look out for an antique setting for it as it's set in rose gold and I prefer white metals.
