It all started with this ring, the Caresse d'Orchidees in onyx and white gold.

Cartier's aesthetic doesn't usually suit me (I'm not exactly edgy
), but this collection is completely me. I mentioned in another thread that orchids were my wedding flower, and my family always had orchids in the house when I was growing up. I scoured the web for other pieces from this line, as it's been discontinued for several years. I'm ultimately a ring gal, so it had to be another ring. Specifically, the "myrtille" ring. There actually is a hybrid orchid called the Phalaenopsis Jiaho Blueberry. I'd have taken photos with it if it'd been available.
