not that insane. keep in mind it's a 3 carat stone that's almost 1cm across.

Stephan is just disgusted with Customs and torturing us. No pics of the actual stone!!!! I can't wait to see pics of the diamond!!!

I saw an absolutely beautiful T color recently. Can't wait to see a wonderfully cut M color diamond!!

It has to-die-for symmetry, Steph.

Can't wait to see actual pictures!

I am not very talented to take pics.

First tests.

Oops, to big.

Let's try again.

/idealbb/files/mvs2d.JPG/idealbb/files/mvs2b.JPG/idealbb/files/mvs2c.JPG

It's so difficult!

I'll try to do better when I have the ring.

Hard to see the M color...

The pics were taken with the camera of my friend.
I don't have a camera here.
Tomorrow, perhaps.

Very nice! I can't wait to see more pictures.

M?! That looks WHITE to me! Even my E doesn't look that good!

Show us some warmth! More pictures! Gosh that IS a lovely stone! I am just imagining the color in person...what a lovely well cut stone! *sigh*

Stephan, you did good!
9.gif

Stephan, I can't see any M color either. I think that's because it's too busy shooting rainbows and white lights at us all! BEAUTIFUL!
love.gif
Wowee. Congrats. Post all the pictures you want. that's a beauty.

Paul in Antwerp...you seriously rock!!!

Shay

Biotch.

(sorry, that's gonna be my response from now on to everyone that gets a 3+ carat diamond)

Thank you luckyhonu, Nicrez and Shay37 for your friendly comments!

sharonzhere, what's the meaning of "Biotch."?

One more pic of my diamond, taken by Paul before we met.

I think that Jonathan knows better than Paul how to clean a diamond.

WOW! Stpehan what a perfectly beautiful and crystal clear picture! I guess when they are THAT big, you don't really need to use zoom, huh?
2.gif

That is a lovely lovely stone! So pristinely cut and such clean clean clarity! *SIGH*

Also, I know I am greedy here, but if you can take pictures of it from the side, on white background, since I STILL barely believe it's an M...I am hoping the side view can give you that warm yellowish tinge!

Oh yes, I see what you mean, Nicrez!
I will do that this week end, if my brother can lends his camera.
I'm so happy that other people like warm colors as me.
I'm in love with the diamond, everybody who saw my stone loose said "Oh mon Dieu!" (Oh my God!)
2.gif

Nice stuff! The last pic filled in my screen nicely. I am still amzed on the precision work. No idea how would one capture such faint shades on film - there is always going to me more color on the picture than in the stone. I find your initial pictures very realistic.

The respective 3D 'sculpture' should be very nice to play with. Yay!

Not sure you find this hands-on approach attractive, but some settings are made so that the stones can be taken out and put back by the owner. I don't have one, but encountered a few here and there. This picture-perfect 'thing' of yours does not appear ready to be pegged in metal for good

That's funny! I never heard about such a setting!
I already ordered my ring, so... perhaps for my next diamond?
2.gif

Valeria, you helped me a lot for the choice of a setting, I hope you will like the one that will be created for me.

Very Nice Stephan...I can't wait to see what the diamond will look like in it's new home..
2.gif

Stephan -- that is a fireball of a stone! THe pics don't show off the M color. I recently saw a man's ring with a similar sized and colored diamond, and it was one of the prettiest stones I have ever seen. Color everywhere!

Can't wait to see the final ring....

WOW Stephan, that is an amazing stone...and sooooo huge.
love.gif
You know I love it!! Can't wait to see the final, what sort of setting did you decide on? How will you wear it? What finger?

Great job Paul....that thing is a fireball. Beautiful. Congrats man!

Thanks Josh, lop... and Mara!
The setting? That's a surprise!
At least one more week to wait...

Stephan!!

Cher bon bon est tres beau!

Oh my dear, it's a joke, because I'm jealous! (I added the O because I assumed there was censor software...I had no idea it had a meaning of it's own!)

I understand how sharon meant it...it's definitely a US thing.
2.gif
Plus I thought it was hilarious being that stephan is a guy and that's more a gal term!

I would presume that this meaning is most appropriate for what she was joking about: key words here being "non-offensive". /idealbb/images/smilies/9.gif

"3. (noun) a non-offensive colloquialism meant to reference to a girl or a woman with whom the speaker is associated in some way "

That diamond is stunning! I can't wait to see it set!

BTW, I'm selling it.
