http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/prodshots/56EE48.jpg Gahhhhh.... Drool.... Gahhhhh....

Then there is this one... http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/prodshots/06Q48.jpg

I''m seriously wanting my next piece (okay so after my studs, and several years down the road) to be a tennis bracelet. I tried one on with 3 carat total weight the other day and OMG. I''d be more likely to get bezeled round brilliants so that I can go down a bit in color and clarity, but step cuts are always a draw. Of course, the Canturi Cubism bracelet is my dream bracelet. But... I''d take one of these in a pinch.

Feel free to share your current obesessions. I just had to share mine.

What type of setting are you wanting? And what color/clarity?

Let''s see. My current obtainable jewelry obsession is getting some nicer baby studs to wear with my fabulous new little hoops.

And I had an epiphany. I don''t like bezels on my ears. LMAO. I like them everywhere else. My bezel band. A pendant would rock. But twice now I''ve tried the bezel stud thing... and didn''t like them. So - martinis it is!!! LOL! And I''ve already got a pair in the works, so that little obsession should be over soon!

As for the down the road, unattainable for the moment obsessions:

I have this idea for a RHR. With an EW set marquise, and some sort of twisted split shank, maybe with engraving? I dunno, but I keep going back to stare at MAchick''s marquise and scheming.

Here''s a pic, if anyone hasn''t seen it (Link):

Before that I may have to have one of your fabulous pendant''s Gypsy!!! And I keep going back to look at Mini Dreams of Africa pendant at WF. I think you called it, "So round" during your search, LOL. But I like round.

OMG Seriously?!?! That''s awesome!!! Great minds think alike and all that jazz.

Whatcha going to set it in? Mine would be a few years down the road, unfortunately - so I''ll have to live vicariously through you!

High karat gold. Can''t.stop.buying.

My current obsession is planning my "tenure/ten year ring." I told DH that I want a simply fantastic 3 stone EC (I LOVE the proportions of Zhu''s 3-stone), and he said "Sure, for our tenth anniversary - or to celebrate when you get tenure." Who knows will come first, but both are a ways off, haha. Anyway, it''s fun to "search" for the perfect ECs to compliment each other or the perfect setting (I still heart the trellis).

Tennis bracelets have always been my fascination and I adore that first one that you posted Gypsy. That is gorgeous. I also have a thing for pendants at the moment-especially a bezel solitaire pendant. Ooh and chandelier earrings are also taking my fancy.

I''m thinking 8-pronged WG. My ear holes are kind of set low so I thought WG would be slightly lighter than platinum. I think I can get away with J colored VS2/SI1, especially if they are ACA''s or ES from WF so that I can upgrade if needed.
9.gif
What about you?

I'm (hopefully) going to start out with K SI's with Flourscence (I'm hoping for medium to strong blue) from Brian Gavin in white gold martini's. Don't know where I'll go from there.
31.gif
I ADORE the eight prong settings though, now you've got me thinking of those. But I'm trying to go for low priced 'reusable' settings since I am planning on upgrading them, and then putting colored stones into the settings. I'm planning on getting jackets for the martini's... and then using the jackets with the colored stones after I upgrade the diamond studs.

I may have given this a little thought.
25.gif

I have a couple minor passions:

1. A nicer set of pearls

2. A blingy everyday watch

3. Finding someone to repair the Bulova, or a new watch to go into its platinum and diamond case.

Oooh love the bezel set tennis bracelet-GORGEOUS!

I want the tag diamond link watch...actually I love ringablings whole set here...the solitaire, the watch and the bracelet
3.gif

eternity band is next though
12.gif

ETA: gypsy, I love the bezel set bracelet and would get that before a prong set one. so, eternity band, new diamond, watch, bracelet, upgraded studs...the list just goes on and on...

Well, I thought I was pretty content with what I have, BUT...I am sort of fascinated with Jonathan''s new chunky old style cushions and OEC''s. I need to be thinking new house and daughter''s wedding, though, so I might have to talk myself out of that.

I have no idea yet - was thinking something GReenlake, but after getting the stone, .52 might not have the impact that MAChick''s .82(?) does! It''s GORG on her hand . . . but .52 is only 7.11 x 3.87 mm . . . I don''t know . . . what do you think?

Yeah- that''s why I think I''ll end up doing something funky with the shank, splitting it, maybe a twist?
33.gif

Or - Halo? The dimensions don''t match up to your stone, but here''s an adwar cast that looks interesting, perhaps for inspiration? http://adwar.com/products/styles/22035L/view

Oh Lord... the endless fascinations!!!
2.gif
1.gif
9.gif
Honestly, I can''t afford to have any... we are kitchen poor right now (after the big remodel), and realistically, I don''t feel a lot of job security right now, either.

But... just for the sake of DREAMING, of course...
12.gif

POSSIBLY attainable:
New (replacement) T&Co baby bezel studs BECAUSE I LOST MINE!!!
39.gif
39.gif
39.gif

A T&Co Key necklace (in silver) and/or the T&Co "Notes" tag necklace with the small .01 diamond.

Unsure if attainable:
A 5-stone RHR, in the 1.5 - 2 tcw range.
30.gif

Upgrading my studs (currently .75 each; would LOVE 1 - 1.25''ish each)

Likely NOT attainable:
The ever-loving UPGRADE! (Still swooning for the 3.5+ ''er, apparently!!!)

*sniff!*

I love looking at the tennis bracelet styles, I think tennis bracelets look good on other people but they don''t look "right" on me. But yes I love the bezel style especially as it would be more protective of the stone.

As far as current obsessions, though I don''t have any shrinkage problems with my anniversary ring, thinking I''m experiencing a wee bit of dss for my stud earrings.
I read this novel where at the end she bought diamond studs for herself the size of "peas" and I''m like oh yeah.
For myself don''t need anything over 1 carat, but wouldn''t mind moving from .66 tcw they are now to around 80 points and THAT would be perfect. At that point I think I would bezel them. If I could have my way I would like a smaller pair of diamond studs that are bezeled, medium size in martinis and large (maybe oec) in drop leverbacks. In the real world I think if I have to pick I''m going to go with bezel... But probably not this year.

Other things on wish list is simple yellow gold necklace, with gold or turquoise pendant to wear during summer, and
some kind of warm stone in yellow gold for earrings, thinking either precious topaz or sunset (peachy) tourmaline

I also I think the petite dreams of africa is beautiful, drool at the 18k one with all diamonds...

I never saw that picture of MAChick''s marquise before. That is one of the most beautiful photographs of a diamond ring that I have ever seen!

My current obsession if figuring out a way to get lots of little diamonds onto a band on my left hand that will also match my solitaire
9.gif

Next is a watch with diamonds on the face... don''t know how long that will take to get because I also want to upgrade either color or size in my e-ring in the next 18 months. We shall see!!

Well, I figured once I got 1.5 ctw studs, I would be set since my e-ring center stone is .75 ctw not including halo. But I guess if DH upgrades my e-ring
11.gif
, then I will want to upgrade my future studs.
hmmmm...now you have me thinking...

Hey Lauren!

I just had an idea regarding my hypothetical EW RHR, and wanted to share.

What about taking the shank from KtIceRn's Mom's 5 stone (Link to that beauty!) the slight split shank with the little bezels, and the setting the marquise EW? You'd get a little added interest from the bezels and the split.

Just a thought!

Here's the shank:

I saw this ring in person last weekend and the pictures don''t do it justice. It''s BREATHTAKING!!! The stones glitter like disco balls and were throwing mad fire, even under a cloudy sky. I love this ring!

Studs. Bezel or martini, I''m not sure. But I desperately want studs.

And rose gold. Also, rope-y, David Yurman-style settings. I have a beautiful deep purple amethyst with a checkerboard cut and I think it would look awesome in a twisty, rose gold setting.

And I want a big, fat pear on a necklace that I can''t describe, but I can draw. 2 thin chains, but instead of having a clasp in the back, it would have a little loop that the chain goes through, and then the big juicy pear would hang down so it looks....argh. I can''t even explain it. I''ll try to find something like it.

Oh, and pear jackets so I can put them on studs. And an EW marquise.

Oh man, Gypsy. Now you''ve got me dreaming.

The pear necklace would be like this: a lariat? Is that what they''re called?
