My brother's coming home for GOOD!

Yippee! Just had to share! He's officially done w/his 5 years in the Navy and will be home late Saturday night! He bought a house around the corner from us even! His girlfriend is in Afghanistan and she gets back in November-she's moving here, so he figures it will be after Thanksgiving or sometime in December she'll be here. They're getting engaged and I'm going to have a wonderful SIL!

Thanks everyone! Tomorrow I'll start my excited updates on FB haha-he's coming home! He's leaving! He left! He's in Iowa! He's here! And thankfully no more sad updates after a couple weeks cuz he won't be leaving this time! No more waiting until he drives away to cry.

I'm a total softie and push over when it comes to him if you can't tell! He knows it too.

He said his CO had a lunch for him today and gave a speech..part of it was he took a bunch of Chuck Norris-isms and changed them all to my brother's last name haha-all the more funnier b/c it's kinda fitting.

Thanks everyone! Ha, he's been calling every 5 minutes to chat, getting antsy. I bet he doesn't get much sleep tonight. One time when he was driving back on leave, he called to say his car had broke down and Sanford & Son stopped to help him. I'm like HUH? He said when they pulled up he looked around like, is this a joke? Am I on candid camera? B/c this guy and his son looked JUST like they were from the show and he kept waiting for the dad to say "Shut up dummy!".

Thrilled to pieces, I am! He's seriously just a one of a kind person, and I love being his sister. Drove me crazy a lot being known as His Sister and never by my name, but it's come in handy too haha. He likes to tell people that he can do no wrong w/me-which is pretty true.
