My blue sapphire ring

I got this sapphire a year ago from Richard Wise, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. He picked the stone up in Tucson at the 2010 gem show. It's a round, 3 ct. natural sapphire, 7.77 x 7.59 x 6.03 mm., from Sri Lanka.

The ring is an 18k yellow gold Michael Bondanza setting with 0.27 cts in pave diamonds. I purchased it from Pearlman's with a lot of help from Julian Chase; he's their sales manager and could not have been nicer.

Wow. What an elegant and sturdy setting. It really makes that magnificent sapphire pop. I've seen a few things from Pearlman's before but haven't purchased. Now I feel more comfortable buying from them after hearing the feedback.

That is a GLORIOUS sapphire. I have a sapphire cut by Richard Homer and I like it but it is darker than I would like a lot of the time. Does yours usually look this color? And it looks great in the setting you've chosen.
