I was so surprised; I had no idea they flowered, and it flowers above the water line.
If you look near the fish you can see another flower bud starting out.

I just have lowly goldfish but I think they are beautiful.

Sorry, to hijack, but Asscherisme - how is your tank doing? The one you were having problems with leakage?

I thought it all went well. The fish seemed happy. And I never got that clouded new tank look (I think since I used the old water, much of the gravel and floated the old biowheel for a week. Plus I added starter bacteria. But last week when I woke up the mollie was dead. It was such a pretty dalmation mollie. I am not going to replace it for awhile. My platties and cories seem happy so I''m just going to leave be for now and let them thrive in their new larger home.

Sorry about your mollie. Glad to hear all else went well. You decided to switch to an acrylic tank, right? They look so much more streamline than glass. . .but I know it''s all about personal preference

What starter bacteria did you use? I''ve read the biospira (now called Safe Start) is good. . .I found a small bottle for smaller aquariums for $6 but am not sure if I should try it.

How cool is that!!!

Nutrafin cycle bio supplement. I got it at my local petsmart. It was expensive. But I plan on starting a 75 gallon soon so I got a big bottle.
