My 1.00ct AGS0 solitaire in 18ct yellow gold 4-claw setting

I thought I ought to post some photos of my engagement ring. My DF proposed at the historic Huer's Hut in Newquay, England in August. He chose the venue because he wanted a location that would be there for always. He chose that day because I'd tried surfing for the first time (he's a total surfing addict).

My diamond was from DiamondsonWeb.com, stats as follows:

Ring size I (about a USA 4 1/4 I believe).

Not the *best* pics.. I need to try & get some better ones.
Outdoor shots taken on the beach. Indoor shots taken under halogen spotlights in our bathroom!
Would appreciate feedback on diamond stats from the expert PSers here - you can be honest, it's ok! LOL

I was suprised to find so little yellow gold on here - it seems many people really favour white gold/platinum at the moment.

For me, I am just in love with the look of an incredibly white diamond against the contrasting rich, buttery yellow of 18ct gold. The yellow of the gold makes me appreciate and enjoy the whiteness of my stone so much more.

When I reaaaaaaally love it is whan I have an awesome tan: then the yellow gold looks amazing against the skin!

It''s so lovely to be surrounded by people that are as besotted by diamonds (and more importantly the best diamonds) as I am. It feels like I''m at home.

My poor DF just doesn''t really get the whole diamond thing that much - but he does secretly enjoy the fact that everyone is just stunned by how lovely my stone is. I think that makes him feel really good, even if he doesn''t know the first thing about *why* it looks so pretty.

Will try & get some better pics - and read up on advice on how to take them!
